file download via HTTP for external user connecting to SFTP site

I was looking to order the single license for WinSSHD ($99) & had few questions.
Q1. If I will buy the following  single server license, does it ever expire or I will need to renew it?
Q2. External users can use Internet Explorer to download files from the SFTP site & will not require additional client software to download the files from the SFTP sites?

(1) WinSSHD licenses do not expire; they are permanently valid for WinSSHD versions available when the license was purchased.

However, each license comes with 12 months of free access to upgrades. It is only this aspect of the license which does expire. We do recommend using the latest WinSSHD versions. If you would like to keep your installations up to date, we offer extensions of upgrade access at USD 19.95 per license and per year.

(2) I am not aware of any Internet Explorer versions that support the SFTP protocol. In order to access files served by WinSSHD, the clients will need to use software that implements either SFTP over SSH, or SCP over SSH. Any SFTP or SCP client will work, but the clients do need to have an SFTP or SCP client to transfer files to/from WinSSHD.
